The Expander Body (EB) concept was developed by the Swedish engineer Bo Skogberg during the 1980’s and later developed Bolivia during the last decade. It basically consists of a folded steel tube with a cylindrical cross section. By injection of grout the EB can be expanded, thereby creating a water-tight steel balloon of high strength.
